Health Care Staff Registration Information in Scotland

Health Care Staff Registration Information in Scotland. Learn more about this important information today.

As non-regulated health care staff (not formally registered with a professional body), it is important to remind you of your obligation to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) if you have not already done so.

Active Registration with SSSC

If you do hold a current active registration with SSSC or any other registered body, please supply us with your registration number accordingly, so that we can check this online!

The SSSC is responsible for regulating and supporting the social service workforce in Scotland. This includes all workers who provide care and support services to people of all ages across a range of settings.

If you are working within social care, health care, or any other related field, it is essential that you register with the SSSC. Registration will ensure that you meet the minimum standards for practice and conduct, and that you have the necessary skills and qualifications to provide high-quality care and support to those who need it.

As a registered member of the SSSC, you will also have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, which will enable you to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practice in your field.

Please note that failure to register can result in disciplinary action being taken against you, which may impact your ability to work within your chosen profession.

To find out more information about registration and to complete the registration process, please visit the SSSC website by clicking on the button below.
